Meals on Wheels: Nourishing Our Seniors

Our team proudly supports the Meals on Wheels program, which provides warm, nutritious meals to over 300 seniors throughout the community every weekday of the year. This vital service helps elderly community members maintain their independence while ensuring they receive proper nutrition and regular social interaction.

For the past four years, our VP of Captive Management, Norman, has dedicated his Friday afternoons to delivering meals along designated routes. These weekly visits often represent more than just a meal delivery—they provide valuable social connection for seniors who may have limited daily interaction.

"The warm smiles and conversations we share during deliveries are truly the highlight of the experience," shares Norman. "For many seniors, we might be their only visitor that day while family members are at work."

Beyond regular meal deliveries, Norman also participates in Meals on Wheels' special initiatives, including:

• Holiday support programs providing additional assistance to seniors.
• Distribution of hurricane supplies during storm season.
• Community outreach efforts to identify seniors in need.

Supporting Cayman Community Initiatives

Our team actively engages with important charitable organizations in the Cayman Islands through both direct participation and financial support. We're particularly proud of our ongoing relationship with Acts of Random Kindness (ARK), a vital non-profit addressing critical needs in the community.

Recently, our team members Kent and Preshan showcased their athletic abilities and community spirit by competing in BDO's Pickleball Tournament benefiting ARK, advancing all the way to the quarterfinals! This exciting event raised essential funds for ARK's transformative programs, including:

• Tiny homes initiative for those experiencing homelessness
• MER (Mentor, Educate, Reinforce) program supporting at-risk children
• CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program for children in need
• FEED Cayman program addressing food insecurity

In addition to our work with ARK, we proudly support educational advancement through the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman Islands (IMAC) scholarship program. This important initiative provides crucial funding to promising Caymanian students pursuing higher education both locally and abroad.

We contribute to the prestigious IMAC Scholarship Gala through donations for the fundraising raffle, helping to ensure talented students can access educational opportunities regardless of financial circumstances.

Earth Day Clean-Up: Preserving Our Environment

Our Cayman team demonstrates their commitment to environmental stewardship by participating in annual community clean-up initiatives. Team members from across our organization come together to help restore and preserve the natural beauty of the Cayman Islands.

During these events, our staff dedicates time to collecting litter and debris from local beaches and public spaces, contributing to the global mission of environmental protection and sustainability. These community clean-up efforts not only help keep our surroundings pristine but also raise awareness about the importance of responsible waste management and environmental conservation

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles: A Legacy of Mentorship

Our connection with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) represents one of our most enduring community partnerships, highlighted by our Managing Director Max Jong's remarkable 20+ years of dedicated service to the organization. This long-standing commitment underscores our belief in the transformative power of mentorship and youth development.

In past years, RMA hosted an innovative in-office mentoring program where high school students would visit monthly with their designated "Bigs." These structured sessions provided students with valuable exposure to professional environments while developing essential life skills for college and future careers. The program created meaningful connections between students and positive adult role models in a workplace setting, offering practical insights into various career paths.

Today, we continue our support through active sponsorship of various BBBSLA charitable events throughout the year. One of our signature sponsorships is the annual golf tournament, which raises crucial funds to support the organization's mentoring programs while bringing together community members for a day of friendly competition and networking.
